Hi, it's nice to meet you!
Maliysa Lou was born and raised in Costa Mesa, Ca by her mom and grandmother, both were great cooks and bakers as well as fabulous hostesses.
Maliysa fell in love with the art of food presentation when she would help her grandma in the kitchen baking apple pies and cookies.
Maliysa always loved to throw her friends birthday parties, graduation parties and even coordinated and executed her best friends wedding.
In 2006 she stumbled on a job at a culinary school in Laguna Beach, where she met a British cheesemonger who introduced her to the world of cheese and high end cooking and specialty foods.
She immediately fell in love with the presentation and knew that cheese would always be a part of her life.
In 2013 she started her first cheese program and designed her first menu at a wine bar in Costa Mesa.
In 2015 she left Orange County and headed to wine country on the central coast where she met a driven and knowledgeable sommelier who owned a local wine bar, Maliysa was able to do to amazing cheese platters and focus on food presentation.
In 2018 her beloved grandmother passed and she decided to fully immerse herself in travel.
She was able to complete a cheese education program at the Cheese School in San Francisco the left for Oregon wine country and then to Paris and Burgundy.
These adventures inspired her to start her dream of a vintage cheese & charcuterie trailer.
Maliysa’s passions are making beautiful grazing tables, wedding cheesecakes, spirit and cocktail, and cheese pairings.
Maliysa now calls the central coast home and is the proud mom of 4 cocker spaniels.
